My Dad, the Superhero.

Okay, corny title, but in a way, I think that its true. Of course, I would say that cuz, well, um he's my Dad. Yesterday happened to be one of the best days that my parents and I had in a long while. Every since this happened with my Dad, things have been sour lately. I guess that we were just waiting for a miracle or something to happen.

Early Tuesday morning, that miracle happened.

Got a call at 1am for my Dad to report to the hospital in order to undergo kidney transplant surgery. And this time around, unlike last time, all of his tests were good. Although I was asleep when the phone rang early in the morning like that, I was happy that my Dad got his wish.

The reason that I call him a superhero is because he is a strong, tough person. He looks at the positive side of things. He always hopes for the best. I admire that in him. in my opinion, if you have strength through all adverse situations, then you're a superhero in my book.

Since the surgery yesterday morning, his progress is great. When I got to see him in the afternoon after they placed him in the Intensive care unit, he was still heavily sedated, but in good condidtion. I just heard this morning that he was sitting up, which is a very good sign. He is well on his way on the road of recovery.

My Dad is truly blessed.
